The face of 20 parks in different areas of Delhi will be changed ahead of the G-20 summit. The work of beautifying all these parks will be done under the supervision of LG VK Saxena. Beautiful gardening will be done in these, tracks will be made for walking, benches, lights will be installed.

Work on this has been started in a planned manner. In order to prepare for the G-20 summit in Delhi, MCD has built a new park on the same lines on the vacant land near gate number five of Lajpat Nagar metro station. It was inaugurated by LG VK Saxena on Sunday. About 860 sqm of barren land lying vacant in the middle of Lajpat Nagar market has been developed as a beautiful park. The park has boundary wall, pergola and benches arranged for the visitors to sit. Various types of shrubs and flower plants have been planted to enhance the beauty of the park. An elephant sculpture made of stone has also been installed. Along with this, a platform in South Extension-2 market has been developed as a selfie point by installing two beautiful peacock artworks.

LG VK Saxena informed that the MCD has identified various places in Delhi to make beautiful art works. Amphitheater located at GK-2 M Block Market, South Extension-2 Market, Lajpat Nagar-2 Market, PVR Saket, Karol Bagh Market, Chandni Chowk, Surajmal Vihar Market, Defense Colony-2 Market, Parking and Park at Gol Chakkar, Beautiful artworks will be made at Punjabi Bagh Market, Aurobindo Place Part-2, Hauz Khas Market, Plaza Market Vasundhara Enclave, CSC-3 DDA Market Mayur Vihar Phase-3, Malviya Nagar Market, Qudsia Park, Pusa Chauraha, Pusa Island, Shankar Road .

Delhi government will also involve people

The Kejriwal government will involve the people of Delhi in the maintenance of parks. For this, Environment Advisor Reena Gupta took part in the Paryavaran Mitra Park cleaning campaign on Sunday. Under the programme, the people of the surrounding areas formed a group and did the work of beautification by cleaning the Vivekananda (Sindhi) Park in Rajendra Nagar. People took part in many activities including tree plantation by removing the garbage. Paryavaran Mitras took a pledge that they would clean the neighborhood parks on 26th January. Along with this, we will continue to take steps for the improvement of the environment at our level. They will involve more and more community volunteers to improve the environment. On this occasion, Reena Gupta said that the cooperation of local leaders and citizens is being received in the effort to improve the city.
